On Saturday, May 6th, LIC Partnership hosts its Fourth Annual LIC Springs!community block festival on Vernon Boulevard between 50th and 46th Ave.

Celebrate Long Island City and enjoy live music, dance, and theater performances plus interactive lessons, art & sculpture-making, fitness classes, outdoor dining, pop-up activities, sports games and more, free and open to all ages.

LIC Springs! is thankful to Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer for his support and is a proud partner of DOT Weekend Walks.

LIC Springs! Eyes On the Street Instagram Video Contest

LIC Springs! is a celebration of the community – our local businesses, our residents, and our visitors. We invite you to share your experiences of LIC Springs! through our first annual LIC Springs! Eyes on the Street Video Contest on Instagram. Submissions will be judged on their ability to showcase the range of activities featured at LIC Springs!, dynamic movement, and artistry. It can be one long shot or an edited sequence. We welcome Boomerangs and Hyperlapses but will be unable to include Instagram Stories.

To be considered, post your video of LIC Springs! on Instagram by midnight on May 7
Include the hashtag #LICSprings and tag @LICQNS
The winner will be announced at noon on Friday, May 12 by @LICQNS and will receive a Long Island City themed prize package including a gift certificate to Crab House, one 8-week Session of a Program Class at the Long Island City YMCA, 2 complimentary passes for admission to the MoMA PS1, a Yelp! gift basket, and a gift certificate to SacredWaters

By subway: Take the 7 train to Vernon Blvd./Jackson Ave. and you'll find the festival right at 50th Avenue.
By ferry: Take a ride over the East River to the Hunters Point South stop. See NYC Ferry schedule here.
By Citibike: There are multiple stations surrounding LIC Springs. See map for locations.

Volunteer
We welcome volunteers of high school age and up! Volunteers will receive a free LIC Springs T-Shirt and lunch.

Volunteer roles and shifts will include chalking the streets pre-event, helping vendors get set up, surveying attendees and sharing event details throughout the day, plus managing clean up and break down at the end of the day. Click here to sign up to volunteer.
