Fink Bakery was a name virtually every long-term resident of New York City remembers fondly. Headquartered on 54th Avenue near Newtown Creek, their ubiquitous delivery trucks, embellished with the logo “Fink Means Good Bread,” were seen throughout the city.

Although Jim Fink worked in the family’s bread business until the 1970s, he became a legend through his radio career that began in that decade when he worked for WPLJ and later the ABC Radio Network. Into the 80s and 1990s, he was at K-Rock, Rolling Stone Magazine, HBO, and on various radio networks and syndicators. Currently at 107.1, Jimmy Fink will review his radio career and with some photos, display some rock radio memorabilia that’s part of his extensive collection, and talk about his time at WPLJ and K-Rock through the end of the last century as well as many rock stars and celebrities he has interviewed – from Paul McCartney to David Bowie to Billy Joel and many others!

Get your questions ready, he is looking forward to questions and interacting with the audience on the Zoom call. In his words. “it’ll be fun & interesting and I’m looking forward to it.”
