Fri., Oct. 25, 7-9 p.m. - Bring your family to the LIC YMCA's "Fall Family Festival," featuring pumpkin picking, face painting, arts & crafts, games, healthy snacks, music/dance, a costume runway, and a costume photo shoot. Details

Fri., Oct. 25, 8 p.m. - MoMA PS1 and New York nightlife legend Susanne Bartsch team up once again for an unmissable Halloween bash. Join them for dancing, DJs, and the most elaborate costumes in the city. Details

Sat., Oct. 26, 9:30 a.m. - Dress up in your Halloween costumes for the annual "Sunnyside Post Mile" Halloween-themed run/walk event presented by Schneps Media and Queens Post, and organized by the Woodside-Sunnyside Runners, supporting Sunnyside Community Services. Details

Sat., Oct. 26, 12-4 p.m. - Socrates Sculpture Park's "Halloween Harvest Festival" is back with the annual pumpkin carving contest and compost catapult as well as New York’s second largest dog costume contest co-presented with Chateau le Woof. Details

Sat., Oct. 26, 2-4 p.m. - Get creative with Art Strong at Focal Point Brewery and paint your own pumpkin to bring home. Pumpkin and painting materials provided for you to create your own masterpiece. This event is open to all ages and is great for adults, kids, friends, and families. Details

Sat., Oct. 26, 4 p.m. - The Wonder Market presents "FALL FEST" at Culture Lab LIC - Enjoy shopping from a curated roster of 20+ local handmade brands, live music performances at the Malt Drive Stage, a "Paint Your Own Wooden Pumpkin" Station, and yummy snacks and sips from the on-site concession stand. Weds., Oct. 30, 7:30-10 p.m. - The Silent Arkestra returns to Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. for spooky season with live improvised scores to two silent horror films - Buster Keaton’s "The Haunted House" from 7:30-8 p.m., followed by the 1925 "The Phantom of the Opera" starring Lon Chaney from 8:30-10 p.m. Details

Sat., Nov. 2, 2-6 p.m. - Celebrate a vibrant Day of the Dead at Museum of the Moving Image with a performance of Aztec Mexica dance, ofrendas honoring beloved ones who have died, fun digital media activities for kids and families, and music from Indigenous dance troupe Yayauhki Tezcatlipoka.
