Sunnyside Swap

Sunnyside Swap
Gather up all your old treasures and come out to the Sunnyside Swap on June 8th! FAQ How does it work? - Swap meets promote sustainability by keeping unwanted goods out of landfills and placing them in new homes. However, unlike a yard sale or flea market, money never exchanges hands. Instead, participants bring items they no longer use, distribute them on the appropriately labeled tables, and then take whatever they need! As the saying goes, "one (wo)man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure." What types of items do I bring? - Clean, gently used (or new) clothing, shoes, toys, and (small, working) home goods. If you don’t have anything to contribute at this time, that is okay too. Will there be an entry fee? - This is a FREE event! We will be collecting baby carriers on behalf of Wear Together NYC, a 501c3 non-profit, which teaches about safe babywearing practices and products. Please consider dropping off your preloved baby carrier at the Swap and Wear Together NYC will get it to someone who can’t afford one of their own. I can’t attend during the scheduled time, but still have items to donate- will there be an early drop-off? - Yes, an early drop-off is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, from 10:30-11:00am at the same location as the swap. There is no "shopping" during this time. Is there a limit on how much I can take? - Out of consideration for others, we reserve the right to limit participants to the number of bags plus one that you brought to the event. We do not allow taking items to resell. Hoarding and aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Please be kind and courteous. Where do all the unclaimed items go? - Remaining items will be donated to our local charity partner, Hour Children.
