Come join me for an intimate open-mic night to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as part of my marathon fundraising! This event will take place at OptimEyes Vision, LIC, NYC. There are a number of scheduled performances including opening remarks from yours truly, live music, spoken word poetry, and stand-up comedy, but attendees are also encouraged to bring and perform any relevant piece of work or art they would like to showcase. Light refreshments will be provided.
There will be 10 donated items that will be raffled off during the event, including a pair of designer sunglasses, a tattoo session with a local artist, gift cards to local establishments and a portrait session with a professional photographer. The suggested donation allows entry for one person and gives the attendee one raffle ticket, which they can use on one of the items for a chance to win it. Additional entries will be available at the event for $10 each.
