Paskong Pinoy 2024, a vibrant celebration of Filipino Christmas traditions is happening at The Pond, Long Island City's newest outdoor event space. Co-presented by the Philippine Department of Tourism and the team behind Philippine Fest (VJ Navarro, Augelyn Francisco, and Paulo Manaid), this two-day festival offers a joyful showcase of Filipino culture, food, and holiday cheer.
“Paskong Pinoy” translates to "Filipino Christmas" in Tagalog and reflects the unique way Christmas is celebrated in the Philippines, with a strong focus on family, community, food, and festive traditions.
Paskong Pinoy highlights the best of Filipino holiday traditions:
- Food Vendors: Savor and sweet eats from Kabisera, So Sarap NYC, The Sister House, Kapamilya, and more.
- Merchandise Vendors: Explore unique gifts from Engkantada Talyer, Katie Ray, Casielle Studio, and more.
- Activities: Enjoy karaoke (1 PM – 8 PM) or participate in a parol making workshop (3 PM – 4 PM; limited spots, tickets here and here). Parols are traditional Filipino ornamental lanterns displayed during the Christmas season, symbolizing light and hope.
