Hunters Point Parks Conservancy (HPPC), Long Island City Partnership, the PS/IS 78Q PTA, and local businesses are collaborating for a Halloween Festival from 2pm to 8pm on October 26. The day will feature a Halloween March down Vernon Blvd from 2pm to 4pm with the support of local LIC businesses. The March will then turn down 50th Ave. to walk to Hunter’s Point South Park, where from 4pm to 6pm there will be a ton of seasonal activities at Frank Ottomanelli’s by the Water and a costume contest at 5:30pm. At around 6:30pm, the 1991 The Addams Family movie will be screened on the oval. The Halloween March is supported by Manducati’s Rustica, Plaxall, Modern Spaces, and local businesses, and the film screening is sponsored by Nest Seekers.
