Our Halloween Harvest Festival is back with the annual pumpkin carving contest and compost catapult as well as New York’s second largest dog costume contest co-presented with Chateau le Woof!

Celebrate the autumn season with us with pumpkin decorating and creative workshops led by Drag Story Hour NYC and Wearable Tracy, shop at our harvest-themed marketplace, support international food vendors, and don’t miss the cutest/spookiest dog costume contest around, co-hosted by Chateau Le Woof. It’s a Halloween Harvest like no other that you do not want to miss!

SCHEDULE

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Socrates Farmstand

12:00-2:00 PM – Pumpkin Carving Contest 

12:00 – 3:00 PM – Drop-in Pumpkin Decorating Workshop. Pumpkins provided, while supplies last or bring your own!

12:00 – 3:00 PM – Drop-in Costume Making Workshop with reused materials

12:00 – 3:00pm – Community Resource Fair
Participants will include The Department of Mental Health and Hygiene, Champlain Hudson Power Express, Greater Astoria Historical Society, Growing Up Green Charter School and more!

1 – 2pm – Drag Story Hour NYC: Halloween Makeup Tutorial and Spooky Storytelling

2:00 – 3:30 PM – Public vote for your favorite pumpkin!

3:00 PM –  Annual Halloween Dog Costume Contest co-hosted with Chateau le Woof. 3 Prizes for Winner of the Contest, Runner Up and 3rd Place.
