Join Newtown Creek Alliance, New York – New Jersey Harbor Esturary Program, Riverkeeper, and Floodnet for an evening of participatory activities and presentations on our local waterways!
Riverkeeper will present on Water Quality standards and how to ensure NY State doesn’t roll back protections for fishable and swimmable waters.
FloodNet NYC will discuss local flooding issues, and engage participants in a hands-on mapping exercise to help inform where flooding sensors should be placed and resources are needed.
The NY-NJ Harbor Estuary Program will give an update on their most recent State of the Estuary report and engage participants in a breakout session to gather feedback on how communities engage with Newtown Creek and the East River.
