In honor of the most creative, entertaining, and innovative live sports show in the country, MoMI welcomes back John DeMarsico, New York Mets Game Director for nightly SNY broadcasts, for a brand new big-screen showcase of his cinematic inspirations. DeMarsico will debut an original short film that interpolates clips from some of his favorite movies with sequences from recent broadcasts. (Last year’s exclusive presentation included clips from Kill Bill, Once Upon a Time in the West, Carrie, and more.) It will be followed by a conversation moderated by Curator of Film Eric Hynes covering cinema and baseball; recent experiments and innovations in live sports production; working with a team that includes boothmates Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling, and Gary Cohen; and, inevitably, the current developments involving Queens’ hometown Mets.
