On Saturday, May 18, join Museum of the Moving Image to kick-off OPEN WORLDS—an initiative offering free access to MoMI's lobby and courtyard all summer long—with a ribbon-cutting, VR demos, a new media installation, and DJ Stretch Armstrong spinning music! Plus, on this day, access to the galleries will also be free starting at 3pm. All are welcome!
Opening Day (May 18) schedule:
3:45 p.m. Welcoming remarks
4:00 p.m. Ribbon-cutting ceremony
4:00–9:00 p.m. Music by DJ Stretch Armstrong
4:00–9:00 p.m. VR demo in the Fox Amphitheater
For the ribbon-cutting, our Executive Director Aziz Isham will be joined by QBP Donovan Richards, NYS Assembly member Zohran K. Mamdani, and Assembly member Jessica González-Rojas.
The music starts just after the ribbon-cutting, and artist Joshua Davis's renowned audio-reactive installation "the V01D" will be exhibited on the Schlosser Media Wall.
