For Mother's Day weekend, Connected Chef is honoring all the Mothers in our community with a fundraiser to support our single-mother families experiencing food insecurity.
We're partnering with Prince Abou's Butchery and firing up the grill at our LIC lot (49-09 5th St) for a delicious afternoon of food, fun, and fundraising to make sure the families we're currently serving will receive Lifeline Grocery boxes throughout the summer when schools are closed. We'll be offering food, activities for the whole families, and gifts for sale including flower arrangements from Queens Perennial!
- Homemade BBQ Menu
Mother's Day Market: Artisans included will be selling everything from artwork to upcycled tote bags, knitwear, and children's toys - Kid-friendly Tie-Dye Craft: Come tie dye with us using plant-based dyes. We'll have some items to dye but feel free to bring your own white shirt, tea towel, napkin, or any other small textile you'd like to add some color to.
- Chef-led Cooking Demo: Come and learn from one of the fine dining chefs on our Connected Chef team.
