TO FEEL THESE THINGS: Moderated Talk and Book Sign

BrickHouse Ceramic Art Center is excited to present the accomplishments of one its associate artists, Colin Radcliffe, upon the release of his new book TO FEEL THESE THINGS. We will be hosting an artist talk on August 24th , moderated by Christopher Chang and including Justin Liam O’Brien, followed by a Q&A and book signing.
Drinks and snacks will be served.

TO FEEL THESE THINGS is a hybrid between a traditional artist book and an autobiographical memoir spanning 8 years of Colin J. Radcliffe’s personal life and ceramic sculpture. Through a combination of image and text this project explores the dynamics and nuances of contemporary Queer relationships in an increasingly digital world. The book includes over 100 images of the artists’ work, a foreword written by writer Christopher Llyod Chang, an essay by contemporary figure painter Justin Liam O’Brien, and features an interview between Colin J. Radcliffe and Justin Moran, former editor-in-chief of Paper Magazine. It is a limited edition of 150 books, each signed and numbered by the artist. The book was made possible in part with funds from the 2023 Queens Art Grant.
